UFA relocated our Medicine Hat Petroleum site to a new location in Dunmore earlier this year, and with warmer spring weather, it is time to celebrate with a special grand opening event today.
In attendance to provide remarks during the formal speaking program are Justin Wright, MLA Cypress-Medicine Hat County; Dan Hamilton, Reeve, Rural Municipality of Cypress County; Kevin Hoppins, Board Chair, UFA; Scott Bolton, President and CEO, UFA; and Don Smith, Chief Operations Officer, UFA.
“Projects like these are successful thanks to many people's dedication and hard work. The Dunmore Petroleum Agency is no exception. We are grateful for all the team members involved in opening this state-of-the-art facility,” said Don Smith, Chief Operating officer, UFA. “We also thank the Dunmore and Cypress County communities for all of their cooperation and support.”
The Dunmore UFA Petroleum Agency offers many enhancements, including high-speed satellite fuel pumps and DEF. It is easily accessible with wide lanes and an expansive parking lot and stocked with UFA and Shell-branded lubricant products. In addition, there are contemporary shower and washroom facilities for the convenience of members and customers.
Long-time UFA Petroleum Manager Penny Mastel is thrilled with the new location. “The old cardlock had been around since the early 90s, and it was definitely time for an upgrade,” said Mastel. “This site exceeds my expectations, and we’ve heard nothing but positive customer feedback since opening.”
The Dunmore Petroleum Agency is a great example of how our co-operative reinvests in the communities where our employees and members live and work. UFA also has a robust Community Investment program. During the event, we will present a donation of $1,000 to HALO Air Ambulance. Paul Carolan, HALO’s President and CEO, will be on hand to accept the donation.
