United Farmers of Alberta Ltd. (UFA) hosted celebrations at the Olds and Red Deer Farm & Ranch Supply stores on Friday, July 19th, unveiling brand-new looks with features that improve the customer shopping experience. The refresh events not only showcased new designs at these locations but there were prizes, refreshments and give-aways.
“At UFA we are investing in our stores to improve the customer experience. It’s important that when our members and customers visit UFA, they feel welcome and can find everything they need to get the job done,” says Glenn Bingley, Chief Operating Officer, Retail Operations. “We know our members and customers have many options for where they do business. At UFA we are committed to providing a great shopping experience including clean and easy to navigate aisles, the right products and excellent customer service.”
The stores have a refreshed look with new paint, flooring, lighting, racking and inviting customer service areas. Customers will also notice that stores have a significant amount of new product that is grouped based on the type of project. “We are very excited for what the new offerings mean to our customers,” says Greg Lueck, Retail Merchandising Manager for UFA.
The store events welcomed over 200 customers who enjoyed food, prizes and give-aways. There were special one-day offers as well, but most importantly, it was a great opportunity for people in the community to come together and to see how UFA is investing back into their co-operative to serve them better.
“The events were a long-time in the making and the result of many hours of hard-work that the remerchandising teams have completed over the past few months. The refresh celebrations were also the perfect opportunity to say thank you to UFA customers and members as well as to encourage those who haven’t visited UFA, to come in and see what we have to offer,” says John Pardo, Director of Retail Operations.
