UFA officially announced a new sponsorship in mid-June as the Official Fuel and Farm Supplier of the World Professional Chuckwagon Association (WPCA) and through this partnership, an exciting new initiative for youth has been launched - the UFA Rookie Racer contest.
“Our support of the WPCA is a natural fit for UFA and to further enhance our sponsorship with the introduction of the UFA Rookie Racer is perfect,” says Kimberly MacDonald, Manager, Community Investment. “To be able to offer an experience like this to a number of youngsters feeds right into UFA’s community-minded focus areas. We are able to celebrate our western heritage and introduce some of these traditions to kids across a number of communities.”
There will be 10 lucky winners* chosen to be a UFA Rookie Racer at each of the upcoming WPCA tour stops, starting in High River at the end of July. Each winner will receive an exclusive UFA Rookie Racer t-shirt, two tickets to a WPCA performance, a behind the scenes barn tour, and a photo and autograph session with a WPCA driver. Aspiring UFA Rookie Racers will have the opportunity to enter for WPCA events in High River, Strathmore, Dawson Creek, Rocky Mountain House and the Century Downs World Finals in Calgary.
* Relatives of the World Chuckwagon Professional Association and UFA are not eligible to enter the UFA Rookie Racer contest.
