UFA Announces New Petroleum Agency at Fort MacLeod

United Farmers of Alberta Ltd. is proud to announce plans for building a new UFA Petroleum Cardlock Agency in Fort MacLeod, Alberta for 2018.

Conveniently located at the southwest junction of Highways 2 and 3, adjacent to the Fort MacLeod Auction, construction is set to commence with a ground-breaking ceremony in early April, 2018.

The estimated completion and opening date is slated for Summer, 2018. The five lane, five product Cardlock will offer clear gas, dyed gas, clear diesel and dyed diesel. The site will also feature high speed lanes and dispense diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) as well as have a satellite dispenser for clear and dyed diesel. A new office, lubricant warehouse and propane offering will also be built on the site.

"UFA is committed to investing in our network," said Steven Marshall, Director of Petroleum Operations at UFA. "The project will be a significant reinvestment in the Fort MacLeod community, to replace aging infrastructure, and improve the offering to our members and customers in Southern Alberta. It is located in a prime location that offers easy access to large commercial vehicles with its location at Highways Two and Three. We are very excited about what this means for residents and our membership in and around this southern Alberta community."

"UFA is very happy to be able to build this Cardlock in Fort MacLeod. It is thanks to the continued support of our customers and hard work of our agents over the years that we are able to do so," said Mike Hutchinson, Petroleum Area Manager at UFA.

"UFA has a responsibility to look after the needs of our petroleum customers and to make decisions that are also in the best interest of our Co-operative."

Keith Trowbridge, the current UFA Petroleum Agent in Fort MacLeod, will continue to operate the new Cardlock location.

More information will be provided later this spring regarding the official ground breaking ceremony. The official address of the new site is 865 14 Street, Fort MacLeod, Alberta.
