Grand Opening of New Store Set For Fall of 2019
United Farmers of Alberta Co-operative Ltd. (“UFA”) announced today that its Farm and Ranch Supply Store in Ponoka, Alberta will be moving to a new location at 3604 67th Street on the town’s southwestern edge.
In the spring of 2019, UFA will begin the process to upgrade and modernize the site to accommodate the new Farm and Ranch Supply Store. As the transformation of the new store occurs, customers will continue to be served from UFA’s existing Ponoka Store on 54th street. Once complete, a grand opening celebration will occur at the new site in the fall of 2019.
“Ponoka is a strong and growing market for UFA, and we are pleased to be able to enhance the service to our members and customers in central Alberta from this new location,” said Carol Kitchen, UFA President and Chief Executive Officer. “The investment UFA is making in this relocation reflects our commitment to customers in this region and aligns with the promise UFA made to its members to return the co-operative’s strategic focus to its core business of agriculture and petroleum.”
The location of the new Farm and Ranch Supply Store will better serve the local market and the upgraded store will offer members, customers and staff the benefits of a significantly improved retail experience. In addition, the relocation will increase the accessibility of the store for customers in the region. Located near the Calnash Trucking Ag Event Centre and west of Highway 2A, members and customers will benefit from the convenient and more visible location.
The existing Farm and Ranch Supply Store will remain open until renovations at the new site are complete.
