Do you have an interest in Alberta's local food sector? The Government of Alberta is recruiting members to represent Alberta's growing local food industry by being part of a Local Food Council.

Establishing the council is the first step in implementing the Supporting Alberta's Local Food Sector Act that was passed on May 30.

As a council member your role is to encourage the development and success of Alberta's local food sector as part of a strong and diversified agriculture industry.

Members will be selected through a public recruiting process. Those with an interest or knowledge of the local food sector are encouraged to apply.

Applications will be accepted until July 12, 2018.
