UFA Cattle Trail is being held at the Calgary Stampede for the third year in a row and our UFA Employees generously volunteer their time to help the event run smoothly every year!
On Tuesday June 26, over 60 UFA employees came together for the UFA Cattle Trail Volunteer Lunch & Learn. For the past three years UFA employees volunteer their time to help make the UFA Cattle Trail a huge success!
On hand at this year’s Lunch & Learn were representatives from Canada Beef, Beef Advocacy Canada and the Calgary Stampede who provided background information about the beef cattle industry and the Calgary Stampede itself. As a bonus, Canada Beef brought Alberta beef jerky and sausage for all of the volunteers to try!
Volunteers perfected telling the story of pasture to plate at a UFA Cattle Trail dress rehearsal that took place the afternoon of sneak-a-peek; followed by a volunteer appreciation event that evening. We appreciate every UFA employee who volunteers their time to help make the UFA Cattle Trail a success! This event is a great example of how UFA employees work together for a common goal, truly embodying what it means to be part of a co-operative.
The UFA Cattle Trail tells the story of beef from pasture to plate. This interactive and informative display is set up at the Nutrien Western Events center all 10 days of the Stampede, July 6 to 15. To learn more about the UFA Cattle Trail, click here.
In addition to the UFA Cattle Trail, UFA is growing our relationship with the Calgary Stampede with our newly announced Official Fuel Supplier Sponsorship. UFA Cattle Trail still remains the corner stone of our sponsorship, but this enhancement will lead to stronger connections with local business leaders that will positively impact UFA’s petroleum business.
