Partnering with Inclusion Foothills at the High River Farmers’ Market just makes sense; it presents a win-win-win for all involved. In true community spirit, UFA approached Inclusion Foothills with an opportunity to expand the High River Farmers’ Market to the weekend with a new special event space on the north side of the UFA Farm & Ranch Supply location. This market will be an extension of the High River Farmers’ Market currently operating Thursdays on 4th Avenue in High River until September 17.
The inaugural Saturday Fall Farmers’ Market at the High River UFA Farm & Ranch Supply location will commence on September 12 and will run until the final two-day event on October 9 and 10, celebrating Thanksgiving. The Saturday market day also offers the opportunity for vendors and customers to attend on the weekend, who otherwise might not have been able to during the week.
Inclusion Foothills provides support, education and information to families who are living or are connected to someone with a barrier or disability. Extending the Farmers’ Market offers further opportunities for those in the organization’s employment programs who work in key functions at the market.

It really opens up the scope in our communities to a level that has never been bridged before.”
"Sneak Peek"
On September 5, UFA and Inclusion Foothills will be hosting a free “Sneak Peek” at the new space for the entire community, vendors, customers, businesses and even local wildlife to celebrate the new location and partnership. Friends of both organizations will be treated to a few extras during the long weekend celebration including food trucks and entertainment to introduce the new location.
The partnership from UFA’s point-of-view fits well with our commitment to support programs and services that create lasting and meaningful impacts in the communities we serve.
“Many of our members are also vendors here and it is a privilege to stand alongside them in support of all the hard work they do in providing safe and healthy food and other goods,” says Tom Fox, Area Manager for UFA.
The High River Farmers’ Market is an opportunity to load up with fresh food and artisanal products while supporting local farmers and small businesses. UFA will be on-hand as well with masks available for purchase and a locally-made Birds & Bees hand sanitizer.
