Remembrance Day Letter | CEO | UFA Co-operative Ltd

As one of the oldest and largest co-operatives in Canada, we believe that in order to be part of the present and future, we need to honour our past. We believe in paying homage to those who have dedicated themselves to service and who have sacrificed for our freedoms.

We know there is strength in numbers, and we are proud to support Remembrance Day initiatives across the province. UFA representatives will be reaching out to their local Legion Branches inviting them to bring their Poppy Campaign into our Farm and Ranch Supply stores. As the national emblem of supreme sacrifice we would encourage everyone to wear a poppy.

On Remembrance Day at 11am, we also encourage everyone across our co-operative to observe the most sacrosanct and central element in Remembrance, the Two Minutes of Silence. During this time of reflection, Canadians pause to honour, thank and remember our Fallen. By remembering their service and their sacrifice, we recognize the tradition of freedom these men and women fought to preserve.

At UFA we believe the dream of peace is only realized when we pause to remember.

In reverence,

Carol Kitchen
