"We Are Alberta Ag" Photo Book to Help Share Alberta's Agriculture Story

To help share agriculture’s story during Canadian Ag Day, Ag for Life is creating a digital photo book titled #WeAreAbAg. The aim of the #WeAreAbAg photo book is to highlight the stories of over 89,200 people who work and live in the agriculture community.

With over 83% of Alberta’s population living in urban centres, people have fewer opportunities to engage and connect with agriculture producers who work and operate in rural centres. Canada’s Agriculture Day is a day for everyone to come together and celebrate agriculture and engage in positive dialogue about agriculture and food.

Those wishing to share their agriculture story in the #WeAreAbAg photo book can enter their information at http://agricultureforlife.ca/wearealbertaag. Ag for Life is looking for a wide range of photos, including farms, ranches, families, livestock, equipment—essentially anything related to agriculture.

“The book provides a simple but effective way for farmers, ranchers, agrologists, nutritionists, feed processors, crop advisors, and all those involved in the many facets of agriculture to show their agriculture pride and participate in Canadian Ag Day,” said Luree Williamson, CEO of Ag for Life. “We’re excited to help showcase the diversity and complexity within the industry.”

The book will be posted on Ag for Life’s website and social media channels, and will be emailed to all who make a submission.
