UFA and 4-H Alberta have been working together for more than 76 years towards a common goal: to support Alberta’s rural communities and cultivate the next generation of leaders. UFA is proud to have helped over 7,000 4-H members and leaders in over 360 clubs who, along with their families, are building sustainable rural communities. UFA is a legacy supporter of 4-H Alberta, providing over $100K of support annually. Legacy Builders are involved at all levels of the 4-H program; club, district, regional and provincial. Being at the highest sponsor level for 4-H Alberta, Legacy Builders contribute staff time, company resources and funding to support 4-H Alberta.
At its core, 4-H Alberta encourages youth to become leaders in their community by participating in projects that help them develop life skills and learn the value of hard work—and of course, have fun! UFA is proudly supporting this mandate with the following current and upcoming 4-H programs:
4-H Centennial Fever | Olds, AB | August 3-6, 2017
4-H Alberta is turning 100! The first 4-H club in Alberta was organized in Olds in 1917, so they are going back to their roots to celebrate where it all began. UFA will proudly support 4-H Alberta Centennial Fever with an additional $10K investment. During the August long weekend 2,500+ 4-H members, leaders, families and alumni are expected to celebrate 4-H Alberta’s Centennial at the ORE (Olds Regional Exhibition). Events are to include a 4-H History walk, 4-H Hall of Fame, Colour Me Green fun run, reunion area and art contest to celebrate their past, present and the next 100 years. Clubs will bring displays to recognize their projects and community spirit as well as be able to compete in competitions. It will be a great weekend of food, fun, entertainment and friendship and we look forward to being a part of it!
