UFA By-laws

The United Farmers of Alberta was originally incorporated by chapter 56 of the Statutes of Alberta, 1918. Amendments to the Act were passed in 1944, 1946, 1948 and 1949. Reflecting the growing importance of its co-operative business, the organization was renamed United Farmers of Alberta Co-operative Limited under the 1946 amendment.

In 1966 the "United Farmers of Alberta Co-operative Limited Act, 1966" was passed to succeed the original legislation. Amendments to the Act have been made in 1987 and 1992. The co-operative is governed by "The United Farmers of Alberta Co-operative Limited Act, 1966" and by UFA's by-laws.
