UFA brings antimicrobial regulation concerns to the Legislature
On April 19, 2018 the Honourable Oneil Carlier, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, along with the Chief Provincial Veterinarian, Dr. Keith Lehman, met with representatives from the United Farmers of Alberta (UFA) Commercial Agribusiness and Government Relations teams to discuss the new federal regulatory changes in regards to dispensing antimicrobial medicines.

Clean Fuel Standard Regulations Update
The Government of Canada plans to put in place Clean Fuel Standard Regulations under the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999 to reduce Canada’s greenhouse gas emissions (GHG). Consultations on the development of the Clean Fuel Standard began in January of 2017.
Department of Finance released proposed changes
On July 18th, 2017 the Department of Finance released proposed changes to several tax rules affecting private corporations and its shareholders.
