Two years ago, a strategic business decision was made to close the Delburne Petroleum Agency. The decision was made after careful consideration. We deeply appreciate the contributions our Agent and his employees made at this location and we care strongly about the people within the Delburne community. As such, we began to look at ways UFA could give back to the community of Delburne. We have made the decision to donate funds to several groups and associations within Delburne. The recipients are as follows: Highway 21 Corridor Crime Watch Association, District Ag Society, Agriplex arena, the Delburne Curling Club, Delburne area 4H Clubs, and the Delburne Community Hall Board. Petroleum Area Manager, Tim Church is pleased to be able to continue supporting the community of Delburne. “We are very happy to be reinvesting $10,000 in eight different agricultural organizations and community groups in Delburne. We are also very grateful to the people of Delburne who continue to support UFA.” The agricultural society will receive $3000 with a focus on farm safety, the Delburne rural crime watch will receive $2000 for new surveillance cameras, both the curling and the hockey rinks will each receive $1000, and the community hall will also receive $1000, and lastly two local 4H clubs will each receive $1000. We pride ourselves on maintaining a healthy and robust relationship with the Delburne community as well as with all rural Albertan communities whether it is in the field, rink or town hall.
