Alberta 4-H
With more than 7,000 members, 2,400 volunteers and over 250,000 alumni, the impact that Alberta 4-H has on agriculture is immeasurable. UFA has supported 4-H for many years. Our new five-year partnership will include sponsorships for flagship province-wide initiatives and grassroots programs that directly benefit more than 400 local clubs:
- 4-H Awards of Excellence recognize the highest levels of achievement and involvement.
- 4-H and UFA Achievement Day is an annual event in the spring to showcase club achievements.
- 4-H and UFA Community Engagement is a program that requires every club to create and complete a project that benefits their communities.
- UFA and 4-H Alumni Volunteer Service Awards
In fact, we're more than doubling our investment in every local club.
Perhaps the most interesting aspect of this new partnership is an exclusive program to develop new volunteers and leaders. UFA will invest in the people that lead local communities at the same time as we invest in the leaders of 4-H. This program embodies all that our community investment strategy is meant to be – building viable and sustainable rural communities.
